You may encounter an error during login if your Microsoft account is a child/minor account that requires parental setup before Xbox services can be used. This can also happen if the account date of birth was entered incorrectly during account creation.
This error can be fixed by either:
a) Adding the Account to a Microsoft Family
- Sign in to: https://family.microsoft.com
- Log in using an adult Microsoft account.
- Add the affected account as a child/member.
- Complete any parental consent prompts.
- Wait a few minutes for changes to propagate.
- Retry the login.
b) Verify the Account Birth Date
- Open: https://account.microsoft.com/profile
- Check the account birth date.
- Correct it if necessary.
After making these changes, fully sign out and back into your Microsoft account before attempting to log in again.
