HIT COLOR mod looks like 1.7 ONLY. RETURN TO 1.8

The hit color mod is now permanently in 1.7 mode. PLS for the love of god give me an option to use the hit color mod used universally in every other client. PLS I beg you, pls give me that option :(((

I loved it so much and then it was gone. I want it to be like the mod it was 8 months ago
