What is the Chat mod?
The Chat mod allows you to customize your default Minecraft chat.
How to find and enable the Chat mod?
Do the following:
- Press ESC on your keyboard and click the "Mods" button.
- Search for the Chat Mod by writing "Chat" in the search bar at the top right corner or browsing through the mods menu.
- Click the toggle switch button to enable the Chat mod and click on the Chat mod box to open its settings.
Chat Mod Settings
Once you click on the Chat mod in the mods menu, you will see these settings:
General Settings
1. The 24-hour option allows you to enable or disable the 24-hour format.
2. The Bold feature allows the user to enable a bold format.
3. Anti-Spam is a feature that allows the user to not see spam. Instead, an indicator such as (x2) shows up next to the message, stating how many times the message was sent.
4. Time format allows the user to toggle between the different time formats
5. Infinite history displays the entire chat history and can be viewed by scrolling up.
6. The History Length scale allows you to pick the number of messages to be capped at.
Color Settings
1. Background allows you to change the color of the background.
2. Time allows you to change the color of the timestamps.
Advanced Settings
1. Highlight username in chat allows you to change the color and font of your username in that chat when someone mentions your name.
2. Toggle Chat allows you to disable/enable chat. This function can be bound to any key that has not been bound to anything else.
3. Copy Coordinates allows you to copy your current coordinates by a simple key press. This function can be bound to any key that has not been bound to anything else.
4. Move Chat Above Hearts allows you to move the chat slightly higher. This function is helpful if you do not want long chat messages to cover your health bar.
5. Smooth Chat Speed allows you to change the delay the chat messages are displayed on your screen.
